Mass Save® HEAT Loan Program
BFCU is a participating lender in the Mass Save HEAT Loan Program, which was established in 2008 to help Massachusetts homeowners upgrade their homes to be energy efficient. The Mass Save HEAT Loan Program offers eligible residents the option to apply for 0% loans up to $25,000 with terms up to seven years.

- Home Energy Assessments: Have an Energy Specialist assess your home to find inefficiencies and identify opportunities for improvements. These assessments can be performed in-person or virtually.
- Decarbonization Consultations: If your current heating system is ineffective, a decarbonization consultations will identify energy saving alternatives.
- Connected Solutions: You could be eligible for additional benefits by reducing your energy use during high demand periods.
- 0% Interest Financing: Applicants who qualify can make these improvements without having to worry about high interest rates.
- Income-Based Construction: If your upgrades require home construction, you could qualify for upgrades like installing insolation for no cost. See if you qualify
- New Home Construction: If you are building a new single or multi-family home, you could qualify for major benefits as part of Mass Save's mission to make all new construction energy efficient.
- Renovations & Additions: If you are adding to your home, Mass Save could help you save on materials and construction costs. Improvements pertaining to insulation, ventilation, water heater replacements, and duct sealing could potential be covered under the Mass Save program.
